Info on the nazi attacks on feminists 8th of March in Malmö (in English)

This is a very short recap on the nazi attack that happened in Malmö this Saturday with related information provided by Project Antifa. Please help spreading this text to those of us who dont speak Danish or Swedish.

Saturday night, just past midnight, a group of feminists were brutally attacked by Swedish neo-nazis in central Malmö after participating in a feminist 8th of March demonstration.

Six victims were taken to the hospital; four of them with injuries from being stabbed; and one, Showan, 25, underwent several operations since his life was in grave danger. For now his condition is stable but still very critical and he is in a coma. The police arrested three men, two of whom have been charged with attempted murder. The neo-nazi group Svenskarnas Parti (Party of the Swedes) acknowledged that their members were involved in the incident but falsely claims that they were acting in self defense.

Sunday afternoon more than 2000 people gathered at Möllevang Square in central Malmö to protest against the fascist violence, while all over Sweden similar demonstrations took place that same evening. The organization ‘Skåne Against Racism’ is calling for a new large and peaceful manifestation against fascist violence and racism this coming Sunday at 2 pm at Möllevangen Square. Copenhagen antifascists are organizing a demonstration that will meet at Blågårds Plads in Nørrebro Copenhagen at 12 o’ clock and thereafter leave for Malmö to go and meet the ‘Skåne Against Racism’ demonstration 2 pm in Möllevang Spuare.

Showan, the victim who is still in very critical condition, is a football fan and co-founder of the group ‘Football Fans Against Homophobia’. A wave of support has been building both locally and internationally, responding to the campaign launched by friends activist and fellow football fans in support of Showan’s recovery.
