World’s 100 richest earned enough in 2012 to end global poverty 4 times over

A Reuters article on the recent report by Oxfam for 2012 concerning the status of wealth globally. Oxfam reports astonishing numbers in the increase of the gap between rich and poor as well as strongly pointing out the dangers of this rapidly increasing wealth accumulation: “Oxfam’s report argues that extreme wealth is unethical, economically inefficient, politically corrosive, socially divisive and environmentally destructive.” In 1 year, 100 people earned 240 billion dollars.
