Art and Activism in the Age of the Anthropocene
Infamous for touring the UK recruiting a rebel clown army, fermenting mass disobedience on bicycles during the Copenhagen Climate Summit, being censored by the BP sponsored Tate Modern, and launching a raft regatta to shut down a coal fired power station, the Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination (Labofii) sees no separation between art and activism, ethics and aesthetics.
Co-founder of Reclaim the Streets and of the Labofii, John Jordan will be in Copenhagen to present their work and their latest project for Paris COP21 Climate Summit in December: CLIMATE GAMES – the worlds largest nonviolent civil disobedience direct action adventure game, where the space between disobedient bodies and cyberspace will merge.
Thursday 14th of May from 19.00 at Folketshus (Stengade 50, KBH N).
It reminds us of the time when it was still possible for free theatre to try out loving anarchic social utopias.
This is about saying goodbye to representation and is therefore the most radical form of theatre.
