Podcast #1 – TTIP
On the 10th of June, the European Parliament is going to determine its positions on the trade deal between the EU and the US (the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, or TTIP) that is currently being negotiated.
We talked to Nanna Clifforth from NOAH to understand what TTIP really is and also the ISDS mechanism, that allows foreign companies to hold a state responsible for loss of profit. Furthermore we discuss the process of the negotiations as well as the growing resistance.
